Hailing from the north of California,

Ashes of Icons sound comes from "European meets North American" metal influences containing a mix of Death, Melodic Death, Black and Thrash metal.

Ashes of Icons started as the band Iniquety in September of 2004 in Sacramento California with 2 singer/songwriters Josh and Agata bringing different perspectives to a shared vision. The stereotypical sound of a female vocalist is destroyed by the raw and aggressive offerings brought out by vocalist Agata. The result is two styles of heavy vocals of separate gender blending together to make one brutal sound. An undeniably unique artist to the metal industry. The 2 eventually met with drummer James and Bassist John of the band Shrine of Scars. With this completed lineup came the name Ashes of Icons.
